What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and the information needed to verify your identity. When you use Aurum, we collect transaction data, spending patterns, and device information to keep the app running smoothly and securely.
We do not collect more than we need. If a feature doesn't require a piece of information, we don't ask for it.
02
How we use it
our data powers your Aurum experience — your spending insights, your savings goals, your reports. We also use it to keep your account secure, send you important updates, and improve the product over time.
03
Who we share it with
We work with a small number of trusted service providers — payment processors, cloud infrastructure, and fraud detection partners — who help us run Aurum. They access only the data they need to do their job, and they're contractually bound to protect it.
We may also share data when required by law — for example, in response to a valid court order. If that happens, we'll notify you where we're legally permitted to do so.
04
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days — except where we're legally required to retain certain records for longer, such as transaction history for financial compliance purposes.
05
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. You can do most of this directly from your account settings. For anything else, one email to us is all it takes — and we'll respond within 72 hours.
If you're in the EU or UK, you're also protected by GDPR. If you're in California, CCPA applies. We honour both — for everyone, not just where the law requires it.
06
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how the product is being used at an aggregate level. We don't use tracking cookies for advertising. You can manage or disable cookies from your browser settings at any time.
If you have any questions about how we handle your data — or if something here isn't clear — please reach out. Privacy shouldn't require a law degree to understand, and we're happy to explain anything in more detail.
